Delta Regional Authority | Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) Grant Program

In partnership with the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) has made available approximately $34.2 million in a fourth round of grant funding for the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) Initiative. Grants ranging from $150,000 to $1.5 million will be awarded to projects that create economic prosperity, offer gainful employment opportunities, and provide high-quality career outcomes for workers who reside in the Delta and Appalachian regions, enabling them to remain and thrive in these communities.

DRA is hosting a technical assistance webinar and workshop to complement ETA’s WORC Grant Initiative. Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend these events to learn more about how to develop a competitive proposal and to hear from previous grantees about their approach, best practices, and lessons learned.

Additional information and resources are available online and potential applicants are encouraged to visit to learn more. For grant eligibility and how to apply, please visit

Both events will discuss topics important to prospective applicants including eligibility, grant requirements and allowable activities, performance reporting, and application procedures.
