Empower Youth in 2021:
Join Us for National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW)
When it comes to empowering teens and young adults to make informed decisions about their health, your efforts are more critical than ever. National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week®, coordinated by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), is a week-long health observance highlighting the science-based facts about how drugs and alcohol affect the brain and body.
While NDAFW may look different this year, NIDA has ideas and resources to support your virtual or socially distanced activities. Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) encourages all substance use and misuse prevention professionals to plan educational activities for youth in your community in recognition of NDAFW. It’s easy to get involved! Register your event online to join the national conversation and network of event planners supporting youth during the week of March 22 – 28, 2021.
Need help to get started? Here are five steps to hosting an NDAFW event.
NIDA staff are available to help you plan a successful event. If you have questions about NDAFW, please contact Brian Marquis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
