Substance Use Disorder and Treatment Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) is Coming Soon!
Are you a substance use disorder professional with outstanding school debt?
The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) helps combat the nation’s opioid crisis by giving eligible health professionals up to $250,000 to pay off school loans in exchange for a six-year, full-time service commitment.
3 Reasons the STAR LRP is for YOU
The STAR LRP is more flexible than other federal loan repayment programs and is great for health professionals who are:
- U.S. citizens, nationals, or lawful permanent residents (green card holders);
- Bachelor’s-level Substance Use Disorder counselors, behavioral health support workers, licensed clinical social workers, medical support staff and more; and
- Working at non-traditional sites like faith-based settings, adult and youth detention centers, Veteran’s Administration facilities, school-based clinics, migrant health centers, and more.
The STAR LRP is brought to you by the Health Resources & Services Administration’s Bureau of Health Workforce.
