Q1: Can students apply for these loan programs?
Answer: No. These loans are for public schools and educational institutions only. Individuals, such as students, CANNOT apply for these programs.
Q2: How are students able to apply for funding from the awarded loan?
Answer: Students can apply directly to their awarded school or educational institution. Contact your financial aid office for more information.
Q3: Who is responsible for administering the loan?
Answer: The institution who has been awarded a loan is responsible for administering the loan. However, Program Officers are available to provide guidance to financial aid officers.
Q4: Are participating schools and educational institutions required to have a loan servicer?
Answer: Yes. Any participating school or educational institution is required to have a loan servicer to service the loans and provide due diligence on the loans in order to avoid dealing with uncollectible loans.
Q5: Can a school or educational institution apply for more than one loan program?
Answer: Yes. Applicants should submit one application per loan program of interest.
Q6: Is the application available electronically?
Answer: Currently, the application is not available electronically. To apply, applicants must download the application form for the program of interest and follow the instructions for submission:
