Webinar on Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Funding Opportunity to Address Unsheltered and Rural Homelessness
Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET
In June 2022, HUD announced the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Supplemental Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to Address Unsheltered and Rural Homelessness (Special NOFO), which makes $322 million in competitive funding available to communities to address unsheltered and rural homelessness. This funding opportunity includes a $54.5 million set aside for communities in rural areas.
Funding is available for permanent housing, street outreach efforts and other supportive services, and Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS). CoCs will need to demonstrate a comprehensive community approach to reduce homelessness among people experiencing homelessness with severe service needs, especially those with histories of unsheltered homelessness.
Applications must be submitted by October 20, 2022, at 8:00 PM EDT. For more information about this Special NOFO please visit HUD’s Special NOFO site.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development will be hosting a webinar with HUD to discuss this funding opportunity as well as other ways to work with CoCs to address homelessness in your communities.
