For those that would like to learn more and stay up-to-date about rural EMS issues, consider participating in the Joint Committee for Rural Emergency Care (JCREC). The JCREC meets monthly by conference call. The JCREC believes that rural EMS systems should be able to respond in a timely, appropriate manner whenever serious injury or illness strikes and the committee is dedicated to advancing policy to ensure access to timely, affordable and high-quality emergency care services in rural America.
