New Funding Opportunities Available!

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has announced the availability of $14.75 million to increase the nursing workforce and improve nursing education and practice to address health equity in underserved areas.

Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention – Registered Nurse Training Program: HRSA-22-168: To enhance the nursing workforce to meet the needs of the nation’s diverse communities, the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention – Registered Nurse Training Program (NEPQR – RNTP) aims to increase the number of nursing students trained in acute care settings to address and manage social determinant of health factors and improve health equity among underserved populations.

Eligible applicants include accredited schools of nursing, health care facilities, or a partnership of such a school or facility. See the funding opportunity for complete eligibility information.

HRSA will award approximately $4.75 million to up to 13 cooperative agreements over three years.
