Missouri’s statewide emergency medical care response system, the Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) initiative, is intended to help more people survive and recover from trauma, stroke and heart attack.

The TCD summit purpose is to update medical providers who are caring for persons experiencing time critical diagnosis of stroke, trauma, and STEMI with established models of care that promote citizens of central Missouri to receive the right care, at the right place and at the right time.

Every May, the Administration for Community Living leads the nation’s observance o Older Americans Month (OAM). The 2025 theme is Flip the Script on Aging, which is a time to recognize older American’s contributions, highlight aging trends, and reaffirm the commitment to serving older adults.

On Wednesday, May 7, the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) is hosting a Senior Resource Fair at the Capital Mall in Jefferson City from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to celebrate Older Americans Month.

There will be a range of exhibitors offering resources and information to Mid-Missouri older adults.

The Missouri Immunization Conference, 2025 brings together bright minds to give talks that are action-oriented on a wide range of subjects related to immunizations to foster learning and inspiration, as well as provoke conversations that matter and actions that lead to increased vaccination rates for Missourians.

The purpose of the conference is to provide immunization education to increase immunization rates and protect all Missourians.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will:

  • Self-report increased confidence in their ability to provide effective education by delivering a strong recommendation to patients when discussing vaccines;
  • Self-report increased knowledge about evidence-based strategies designed to address vaccine hesitancy, and combat misinformation;
  • Self-report increased confidence in their ability to advocate for and effectively educate patients on vaccine preventable diseases;
  • Self-report increased knowledge of how state legislative actions play a role in Missouri’s immunization rates; and
