The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) is now accepting presentation proposals and research posters for the expanded Health Equity Conference next spring. Join NRHA and hundreds of rural health leaders in New Orleans, May 6-7, for one of the only meetings in the nation to focus on rural health equity issues. This conference is designed for those dedicated to bringing quality health care to under-served and often under represented populations, including LGBTQIA+, veteran, and homeless rural residents as well as multiracial and multicultural m embers of rural communities. Stick around for NRHA’s Annual Rural Health Conference and Rural Hospital Innovation Summit featuring more than 80 innovative, practical, and cost saving sessions.

On November 16, the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC) is hosting the annual Rural Health Day Celebration, an event created by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) to acknowledge the immense contributions that our rural healthcare providers make to the well-being of their communities.

Rural healthcare providers face unique healthcare challenges daily, and yet they pursue excellence and always put patients first. We want to hear your neighborhood/community Rural Health Champion success stories!

In 250 – 500 words please describe the following:

Registration Open for Missouri Telehealth Summit

The Missouri Telehealth Summit brings together leaders, policymakers, providers and payers for in-depth conversations around telehealth.

The 2023 summit will focus on sustainable telehealth integration, value-based care mo9dels, training the workforce, remote patient monitoring and more.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Eric Wallace, MD, FASN. Dr. Wallace is a professor of Nephrology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is the UAB Medical Director of Telehealth, Co-Director of the UAB Home Dialysis Program, and Director of the Rare Genetic Kidney Disease Clinic. Since becoming faculty, he has sought to eliminate geographic and socioeconomic barriers which prevent patients from accessing specialized care. He has overseen the creation and scaling of ambulatory and inpatient telehealth programs, E-Consults, tele-ICU, and remote patient monitoring. He is focused on using these tools to help re-design healthcare.

The pre-summit workshop will focus on in-depth detail around telehealth AIMS (adoption, implementation, monitoring, and sustainability).
