More than two million people or 21 percent, who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid live in rural communities.
The federal Medicare and Medicaid Coordination Office is hosting a webinar to explore the health equity challenges facing rural communities-particularly as they affect individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid-and provide innovative, evidence-based strategies health plans can employ to address them.
In this conversation, Resources for Integrated Care’s speakers will explore the health equity challenges facing rural communities particularly as they affect dually eligible individuals. Speakers will discuss health and social disparities in rural areas, the role of social determinants of health (SDOH), innovative partnerships, and provider engagement.
