Wintergreen, in partnership with the National Organization for State Office of Rural Health is hosting the second annual Hospital Performance Improvement Virtual Conferences specifically for rural hospitals and clinics. The two regional, three-hour sessions will be hosted by Wintergreen and will highlight actionable topics:

Virtual Conference: Medical Leadership in Disaster Preparedness and Response, February 7-8, 2024

Are you currently responsible for the medical direction of a health care entity in the event of a disaster? Are you interested in serving in that role in the future? The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange (TRACIE) is hosting the Medical Leadership in Disaster Preparedness and Response Virtual Conference February 7-8, 2024.

This two half-day virtual, interactive conference will feature individuals who have a medical direction role during disasters for their health care facility, public health department, emergency medical services agency, health care coalition, or other entity discussing the spectrum of their medical leadership responsibilities and some of the specific challenges of the role.

All participants are encouraged to attend the entire virtual conference, but participants must register for each day they would like to attend

What to Expect:

Day 1 – February 7 12:30 – 5:00 PM ET

  • Providing a framework for disaster medicine leadership
  • How we can measure our effectiveness
  • The intersection of clinical care and emergency management
  • Preparing future leaders for the role

Call for Presentations – 2024 Missouri Immunization Coalition Conference

The Missouri Immunization Conference (MIC) brings together bright minds to give talks that are action-oriented on a wide range of subjects related to immunizations to foster learning and inspiration and provoke conversations that matter and actions leading to increased vaccination rates for Missourians. MIC aims to empower the public health workforce by offering a stage for stakeholders to share innovative ideas, equitable solutions, and their personal experiences promoting immunizations.

MIC is looking for presentations that have a statewide appeal to:

  • Public Health Professionals
  • Nurses
  • Physicians
  • Advanced Practice Providers
  • Hospitals & Ambulatory Care Staff
  • Long-term Care Facilities, and
  • Private Healthcare Providers practicing in rural, suburban, and urban settings

The 2024 MIC Conference planning committee will review all proposals. Topics must:

  • Address conference theme, target audience and challenge attendees to think creatively
  • Be clear, well-organized, interactive, and actionable
  • Feature speaker(s) with significant experience on presentation topic

Important Notes

  • Applications should be submitted by Friday, December 1, 2023.
  • Selected presenters will receive complimentary registration, one night’s lodging at the Conference venue, mileage and meal reimbursement.
  • While encouraged, MIC Membership is not required to submit a proposal.

The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) is now accepting presentation proposals and research posters for the expanded Health Equity Conference next spring. Join NRHA and hundreds of rural health leaders in New Orleans, May 6-7, for one of the only meetings in the nation to focus on rural health equity issues. This conference is designed for those dedicated to bringing quality health care to under-served and often under represented populations, including LGBTQIA+, veteran, and homeless rural residents as well as multiracial and multicultural m embers of rural communities. Registration Open for Missouri Telehealth Summit

The Missouri Telehealth Summit brings together leaders, policymakers, providers and payers for in-depth conversations around telehealth.

The 2023 summit will focus on sustainable telehealth integration, value-based care mo9dels, training the workforce, remote patient monitoring and more.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Eric Wallace, MD, FASN. Dr. Wallace is a professor of Nephrology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is the UAB Medical Director of Telehealth, Co-Director of the UAB Home Dialysis Program, and Director of the Rare Genetic Kidney Disease Clinic. Since becoming faculty, he has sought to eliminate geographic and socioeconomic barriers which prevent patients from accessing specialized care. He has overseen the creation and scaling of ambulatory and inpatient telehealth programs, E-Consults, tele-ICU, and remote patient monitoring. He is focused on using these tools to help re-design healthcare.

The pre-summit workshop will focus on in-depth detail around telehealth AIMS (adoption, implementation, monitoring, and sustainability).
