Forensic Center will use Telehealth to Reach Rural Patients

UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, Colo., is opening a first-of-its-kind medical unit that will provide forensic nursing care to patients who have experienced sexual or physical assault and any other type of abuse. It also houses an expanded forensic telehealth program that will support rural hospitals and clinics across the region. Across the country, health care providers are utilizing telehealth programs as one strategy to combat staffing shortages, with others including non-monetary benefits such as flexible scheduling. You are invited to submit your proposal(s) to present rural innovations, research findings, model programs, resources, and projects to all 50 State Office of Rural Health.

The NOSORH Annual Meeting will be held in Traverse City, Michigan on September 19-21, 2023.

One Month to Submit RHC, CAH Conference Presentations

NRHA is now accepting presentation proposals for our Rural Health Clinic and Critical Access Hospital Conferences. The goal of NRHA’s Rural Health Clinic and Critical Access Hospital Conferences is to share effective practices, policies, and information and provide insights and best practices addressing many of the access, quality, and patient safety issues confronted by CAHs and RHCs. Five interest tracks are available for CAH Conference submissions: innovation, financial, leadership, quality, and best practices. This year’s events will be held Sept. 26-29 in Kansas City, Mo., NRHA’s hometown. The deadline for submissions is May 31.
