Register for Rural Suicide Prevention Workshops

Register for Rural Suicide Prevention Workshops – May 23 and July 25.  This comprehensive training for service providers in rural communities includes special focus on youth, substance use, and Indigenous communities. The interactive workshop features video demonstrations, active discussion groups, and access to the latest research on best practices. Attendees will get free, ongoing support – including online discussion forums and monthly Q&A video calls – for one year after the workshop.  This opportunity is provided by the University of Rochester Recovery Center of Excellence (COE), one of three COEs in FORHP’s rural opioid programming.

Introduction to RHCs Free to NARHC Members

The National Association for Rural Health Clinics is offering an online course consisting of 4 short modules that cover all of the basics of what it means to be a Rural Health Clinic. The modules cover the basics of what it means to be a Rural Health Clinic and explores how RHCs differ from other types of clinician offices. This is a self-paced course consisting of approximately 1 hour of video content

Cost: Free for NARHC members; Non-Member $50

Educational Learning Format: On-Line. It is recommended that Chrome is used as the browser for all NARHC courses.

Length: Approximately 60 minutes

Content: Those going through this orientation tool will learn about the history of the RHC program and how the National Association of Rural Health Clinics came to be. In addition, they will be educated with a high-level overview of managing an RHC vs a Non-RHC, RHC basics, best practices for RHC managers and understanding the value of being a Rural Health Clinic.

Missouri Primary Care Association (MPCA) along with Missouri Hospital Association, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, National Kidney Foundation, and Harvesters are pleased to announce registration for the Five Part Health Equity and Social Determinants/Drivers of Health Learning Collaborative webinar series is now open.

This series will cover information on innovative data platforms currently being used in community health needs assessments and implementation strategies to identify where disparities exist, thus helping communities target interventions with the needed specificity. Attendees also will learn about the importance of leveraging technology to connect a multidisciplinary team to create an environment of networking and shared learning with the sole purpose of promoting the health and well-being of everyone.
